What Is The Pasta Project?
Pasta ( lasagna sheets) is the core material of the project
We manipulated its shape and checked how it reacts in different temperatures and cooking methods
We transformed pasta into a 3d press fit-kit
and created a new design!
The Process
1. Checking the laser cutter settings for engraving and cutting
In order to manipulate the pasta shapes we used a laser cutter to cut and engrave on it.
We sketched shapes with Adobe Illustrator and then had to test the laser cutter settings.
We changed the speed and power of the machine until we found the right settings.
2. Checking the material thickness and cutting the shapes for the fit kit
3. Playing with the shapes and creating a fit kit !
4.Changing the material temperature by trying different ways of cooking
